MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLICATION

1. FOREIGN NATIONALS EXAM

The Foreign Nationals Exam that is given by Başkent University and the ones accepted by Başkent.

Exam score should be at least 60

2. GCE (General Certificate Education), Cambridge International A Level

Minimum one subject in the related area of the applied program from at least 3 subjects with A Level.

3. SAT (CR+CW+M)

A minimum score of 1000 out of 1600  (writing included).

4. INTERNATIONAL SCIENCE OLYMPIADS

Having a gold, silver or bronze medal from the International Science Olympiads recognized by The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK)

5. WEST AFRICAN EXAMINATION COUNCIL (WAEC)

Minimum 3 subjects in the related area of the applied program for 5 subjects with at least 25 points in total.

6.  INTERNATIONAL BACCALAUREATE

At least 24 diploma score out of 45.

IMPORTANT: Those who will apply to Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, or Molecular Biology and Genetics Programs must meet the requirements listed below.

 

Faculty of Medicine Application Terms for the International Students

For the applicants who will apply for the Faculty of Medicine, the high school diploma grade alone is not sufficient in the application. For this reason, at least one of the exam types specified here must be submitted to meet the requirements for application. For those who are applying with YÖS exam, only Başkent YÖS scores will be considered in the evaluation process. Students whose native language is not Turkish can only apply to the English Medicine program.

A minimum score of 85 out of 100  from the exam attended for the last two years.

SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test)

(EBR*+EBW**+M***)

 A minimum score of 1450 out of 1600 and 700 out of 800 for Mathematics

ACT (American College Testing)

A minimum score of 29 out of 36.

CERTIFICATE TYPE

MINIMUM REQUIREMENT

 IB (International Baccalaureate)

A minimum diploma score of 36 out of 45 in total and a minimum grade of 5,6 out of 7 in at least one course among high level mathematics/physics or chemistry courses.

 

ABITUR (Germany) A maximum grade of 1,7 out of 4

AL-GCE (A Level General Certificate of Education)

 

A level in three subjects between Math, Physics, Chemistry, or Biology

The applicants who provide the most qualifications will be prioritized.

 

Faculty of Dentistry Application Terms for the International Students

For the applicants who will apply for the Faculty of Dentistry, the high school diploma grade alone is not sufficient in the application. For this reason, at least one of the exam types specified here must be submitted to meet the requirements for application. For those who are applying with YÖS exam, only Başkent YÖS scores will be considered in the evaluation processStudents whose native language is not Turkish can only apply to the English Dentistry program.
