How to Apply for Residence Permit

Dear International Students, 

The steps below will guide you through the residence permit application process. Please prepare and bring all the documents listed below to International Student Office within the 30 days of application. If you have already a permit residence or you are in need of extending the duration of your residence please inform us by e-mail or in person.

1- Apply for a residence permit through the link below:

-Those who study Associate's Degree, Undergraduate, Graduate, and Doctoral Programs should apply for "first time application",

-Those who study in the framework of student exchange programs will apply for a short-term residence permit from the "first application".

    APPLY TO RESIDENCE PERMIT

2- Prepare the documents included below:

  • Residence permit application form (printed)
  • Photocopy of Passport (must include all processed pages with visa and original approval confirmation)
  • Four (4) pieces of biometric photos
  • Valid Health Insurance (please see the document below for more information)
  • Address Document (please see the document below for more information)
  • Residence Permit Card Fee Receipt (The payment can be done through tax offices or authorized banks with a foreign tax number. The amount of card fee is included in the application form)
  • Declaration of Income (included in the application form)
  • If the student is under the age of 18:
    • Birth Certificate (Apostilled or approved by the related country's consulate and Republic of Turkey Ministry of Foreign Affairs and notarized translation in Turkish.)
    • Letter of Consent (Apostilled or approved)
    • Birth Certificate and Letter of Consent are not required for those who have a student visa
  • Student Certificate and Residence Permit Information Form (these documents will be provided by International Student Office)
